Maria Maximova is one of the founders of the national synchronized swimming, a recognized expert of world synchronized swimming. From 1991 to 2008 she was repeatedly invited by international federations as a coach and choreographer (free and technical programs) for the World Cups, European Cups and Olympic Games (Austria, Spain, Italy, France, Canada).
She was awarded with honorary signs “For merits in development of the Olympic Movement in Russia” and “For contributions to the development of physical culture and sports,” as well as with a commendation and medal of the President of Russian Federation D. A. Medvedev for her significant contribution to the development of sports and international cooperation, and the promotion of healthy lifestyle.

4-time European champion, 4th place at the Olympic Games in Atlanta (1996).
Graduated from the Russian State Academy of Physical Culture (RSAPC – RSUPESY & T) majoring in synchronized swimming and the Russian Academy of Theatre Arts (GITIS-RATI) majoring in circus art direction.
Author of a scientific research study and several scientific publications on the subject “Water shows. History, specificity, art direction”.
Since 1996, she has been repeatedly invited by international federations as a coach and choreographer (free and technical programs, combination program) for World Cups, European Cups and Olympic Games in synchronized swimming.
Worked with the national teams of Holland, Spain, Israel, Greece, Italy, Japan, and with sports clubs in Canada, France, and Russia.
